It all started one day at Waimanalo Beach Park. After an eventful morning, we arrived at the beach only to realize that our cooler containing all of our drinks, lunch, and poke had fallen out of the open flat bed truck. Disappointed, we went home early thinking about how great it would be to have a home-style BBQ somewhere near by- which got us thinking. We proposed the idea of opening a home-style BBQ place in Waimanalo to some close friends, and they were on board. The only thing we needed was the perfect location. Finally, we found it. A perfect little space next door to artist,Patrick Ching's Naturally Hawaiian Art Gallery and Gift Store- a gallery that truly captures some of the amazing scenery throughout the Hawaiian Islands, especially Waimanalo. After months of long nights and strenuous work, our store was finally ready to open, and Sweet Home Waimanalo was created.
